I will say my dog’s marker word only once and always pay him.
I will not reward my dog for offered behaviors.
I will not release my dog from offered behaviors.
I will not give my dog a verbal command unless the behavior is reliable and predictable, and I believe he will follow the command successfully.
I will give verbal commands before visual cues.
When I increase the difficulty by raising one criteria, I will lower other criteria.
When my dog needs to self-correct, I will say “nope” or “uh uh” with a smile.
I will give +/- feedback to my dog within 1-2 seconds of the desired/undesired behavior.
I will not repeat verbal commands.
I will refrain from giving my dog negative feedback when he is trying to figure something out.
